Sixteen teams took part in the Alec Lucas Football Tournament, including teams from Chester and Arbroath as well as the more local Tweeddale Rovers, Leithen Rovers and Vale of Leithen. The competition kicked off after a minute’s silence and the official renaming of Whitestone Park Stand in Peebles.

Medals and trophies were presented by a former colleague of Alec Lucas, Colour Sergeant Paul “Baz” Barret from 45 Commando.
